Welcome to the home of DoISO, the free ISO maker (and now CD/DVD burner!) for Windows.

DoISO is a simple GPL'd, free ISO creation frontend for mkisofs, the ultimate ISO creating utility. One day I wanted to make a DVD-sized ISO but found that my previously trusty ISO utilities would only go to CD size. mkisofs was the only utility available, and it required reading the manual every time I wanted to make a quick ISO, so in reality there was no such thing as making a quick ISO :(. I decided enough was enough, I had to have a reliable GUI for making any size ISO that I wanted, so I went back to some old commandline wrapping code I had used in another project (Mike Mayer's process launch code) and simply wrapped mkisofs.

DoISO was born, and I was happy because I could make quick, easy ISO's :).

And now, as a new important addition to DoISO's features I've added burning support for CD's and DVD's via the Windows 2003 Resource Kit Tools.   All this is available with explorer integration!

Enjoy.

2.0.0.5 Released
I skipped a couple of versions for the RSS updates because I was waiting for this point ;). DoISO now has its own nice MSI installer which includes explorer integration for making ISO's and burning them. A few more bugs are fixed and the user interface is now sealed up pretty well.

2.0 Released
This release brings forth the ability to burn CD's and DVD's! In conjuction with the Windows 2003 Resource Kit Tools you can now burn existing ISO's onto CD & DVD, or perform a burn along with your ISO creation. This version is a big leap forward in DoISO's development. Check out the source code and see if there's anything you can improve :).

Alpha 1.0.7 Released
There are some interesting changes and new features in this release. The size of an ISO can now be determined before it is actually created. There are more options, such as the ability to add arbitrary command-line commands for mkisofs and publisher/peparer information. The destination button and field have been removed and replaced with the destination being prompted for when the create button is pressed.

Alpha 1.0.6 Released
There have been a few releases since the initial release, but no single release has been earth-shattering or very news-worthy. However, the combined additions and fixes from the initial release up to DoISO 1.0.6 are definately worth a look at. New features are a DVD video option (with an automatic DVD video detector), volume labels (with automatic volume label suggestion), duplicate files optimization, drag & drop support. There have been a number of bug fixes and the look & feel has been improved too.

Alpha 1 Released
The initial release of DoISO has enough functionality to allow you to quickly and easily create an ISO from any folder structure. Subsequent releases will give fine-grained control over the full mkisofs feature set. This release is highly useful from the get-go. Enjoy and don't forget to report bugs/suggestions/annoyances/wishes, and if you're really keen, submit some code/documentation :).
